I have an HP pavilion dv6915nr laptop that has been giving me some problems lately. On occasion, some of the keys on the keyboard will stop working temporarily. it seems that they are all working at this moment, but while i was registering for the site and trying to put in my information, the backspace and the 'h' were the ones not working. I recently reformatted the hard drive completely due to issues with malware and because it seems to make windows run smoother if i reformat every so often, but this issue was not corrected by the reformat. Makes me think it may be more of a hardware issue. I can't recall ever having spilled anything in the keyboard, but i let my family use it some so there is no telling if a few drops may have found its way in at some point.
does this seem like an issue with liquid contact, or just a faulty keyboard? Could it be due to impact? the dog (toy poodle) has ran across it on a few occasions. Would it be easily repaired by replacing the keyboard or is it possible that some software or system file could interfere with the keyboard sending signal, meaning that it isn't actually a hardware issue?
Any advice would be appreciated. thanks!
