Hi all, I have sony vaio laptop, and lately, the screen gets fuzzy and sort of red. Youtube videos are especially red around peoples faces, and just meesed up in general When I turn on the computer, the whole screen is solid red even before windows starts. then it gets that fuzzy red once windows boots up. Is this a warning to change the LCD bulb?

Odd things however:

The screen returns to normal whenever I turn on my VMware windows XP virtual machine...I have windows 7 pro 64 bit as my real OS. Also, could it be a driver issue, because when I upgraded from Vista to Win 7 in December, windows used many generic drivers, including for the monitor...but this problem just started a few days ago. I also put in new RAM in december...maybe its defective?

I will attach some pics to show the fuzzyness. BTW, it stopped being red for a few days, now the red came back and left again.

See attached pics.

thanks all.

i suspect driver... try uninstalling and reinstalling with the latest driver for the video card... the monitor drivers you can leave alone.

update: It stops and or starts being red when i move the laptop screen, not always, but sometimes (it will always stop it if i move it, but not always start being red if i move it)

so is it a bulb issue or what?

btw, those pics i posted, the sky is supposed to be red, look more at those red things along the task bar
