laptop LCD/LED?

ok, so I have an issue with my ACER 5742 laptops LCD (i think its actually an LED, as there is no inverter anywhere, unless its on the Motherboard somewhere).

I found this http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-ACER-ASPIRE...ultDomain_0&hash=item2a1296e638#ht_1254wt_905 for it. Its not that bad, but I found a cheaper one for the 5552 series, http://cgi.ebay.com/LAPTOP-LCD-SCRE...ltDomain_0&hash=item2c5c04b88a#ht_1756wt_1007. Its around the same price, but with free shipping. Now, looking at the 5552 that I have, the LEDs have the same dimensions, and the same resolutions. The only differences that I can tell are the Proc, and IPU.
So, will I be able to get the cheaper LCD there, or do I need to stay with the original?

also, if anyone knows where I can get one cheaper, please speak up.

You're going to have to remove it at some point so go ahead and get it out and look at the model. It should be something like LTN156(AT)(01) (though of course can really vary depending on brand). Then go hunting. I can say a good place to find LCDs for cheap is Bliss Computers, just be willing to return as I've gotten some that didn't work. They usually will work with you though.

And if you don't feel like searching around too much, look inside and see if it's got a separate inverter. If there is no inverter (IE it's all in screen) it's LED. If there is an inverter, it's CCFL.

there is no inverter, and the LED has been removed already.

its got a model # listed as B156XW02

using the model #, at Bliss, its $47 + 15 shipping. that makes it $62. thats around the same price as the ebay links. But assuming that I get a dud, do they charge return shipping?
