Laptop - Make or purchase already made?

I was wondering - I have opened the inside of a desktop before so I semi know what everything looks like in there and what things are. Laptops - no clue. Do you suggest me making my own laptop or buying one that is already completed?

I am looking to use this laptop to play games, do computer work, save tons of pictures and music and watch movies on it.

I am not sure how much I am willing to spend right now, but if it is worth the money, I will save up.

If you suggest I purchase an already completed laptop, would you have any suggestions on which one(s)?

There is no real market for that kind of stuff, some people can find some stuff on it every once in a while but the price makes the idea of it being unthinkable. If your wanting to get something that is gamer proof in the future you are going to be spending some serious money. I usually recommend in that case something from ibuypower or cyberpowerpc if your wanting something crazy powerful.

I would not build a laptop unless you have built a few desktops due to the fact they are smaller therefore most of the parts are smaller and more difficult to install. Also if you were to build a laptop your choices of parts will be limited compared to a desktop. If you could find a decent laptop on a website or in a store I would take it. I would recommend buying an Apple Macbook Pro and dual booting with Windows using bootcamp.
