hello I have a HP Pavilion ze5300 that I purchased non-working, I resoldered the power jack and redid the harddrive fresh xp. It has a 2.53 pentium, !g ram, 150g hard drive.
This is my first laptop and I guess these do not have the same power as a desktop with the same stats.
it runs ok as long as your only using one program or it takes forever to get anything done.
I am curious if this Elizir 1 gig ram is good quality?
I bought this memory for $16 a stick . (2x512k)
would i be better off buying some corsair ram ?
1 gig is the highest this will go
I cleaned the dust/hair out of the cooling fans and it runs much cooler than it did.
I havs most all start-up items turned off except essential
fresh copy of windows xp
and it still has problems running well
if iam watching a movie and the anti-virus starts the movie will jerk around.
i just hink this should have a bit more.
I am using avg anti--virus so it not like norton that uses a ton of memory
it is a new hard drive 150 gig but unsure if it is 5400 or 7200?
any thoughts ??
