Laptop Motherboard

I had to send my laptop off for repair as it wouldn't charge up or turn on and the people repairing it have said they have to put a new motherboard in.

Does this mean that all my old memory (all my files and programmes etc) will be lost and when i get my laptop back it will be like a new computer?

No all your files are stoerd on the harddrive. Since they do not mention having changed the hard drive then all your files are still intact

Hopefully they re-installed all your dirvers, I thought after a mobo switch you would have to re-install chipset drivers and such. Or willl the new mobo (of the same kind) just work off the old drivers?

they will almost certainly replace it with a mobo of the same model. So drivers wont be an issue.
