laptop not powering up

Hello friends

I need some help. I have a dell latitude e7250 laptop which isn't working.

The issue is when I press the on/off switch, the hard drive light stays on and I can hear the fan for a about 1 sec as it attempts to work. After the 1 sec the fan stops and the Hard drive light stays on. Nothing else. The screen doesn't show my operating system or login it just stays blank.

Any help would be appreciated.

Any lights blinking? Usually designates an error code. Could be bad hard drive.

The battery light blinks but the hard drive and wireless antenna lights stay on constantly. If it is a bad hard drive should I just get a new laptop or take it to the local repair shop.
Also any ideas on why the fan attempts to run then instantly shuts down when I press the power on.
Thanks again in advance appreciate it.

Johnb35, it worked. I went to the dell site you advised and looked at the chart and took out the memory module and replaced it again. now it works !!!

Thank you very much, as I was about to give up and throw the laptop in the trash bin.

you Star.
