Laptop/notebook for University

Hey guys!

I need some advice on what laptop i could get which would have the following, for under £400. I would need Microsoft office, a CD drive/ dvd drive, USB ports, able to support games (not important) erm... and thats it lol. Internet too obviously:P.

Any help greatfully received.

i dont know the conversions very well, but this compaq will suit basic college needs well. bear in mind that it wont play the newer games very well. it costs $460 plus shipping, and a genuine copy of MS Office:home and student 2007 will cost you about $150. of course, this is all American, so i dont know what it will cost over the pond.
if you are already enrolled in "university", you should check to see if it is a member of an Academic Purchase Program with a computer company like HP or Dell. i get 15% off my purchases with HP that way.
