Is there a way to either Unlock the BIOS or download a program to OC my laptop? I have tried AMD Afterburner (think thats the name of it) but it wouldnt let me.
The model number Is HP G61. Motherboard # is HP 363F. Has a Athlon II x2 M300 at 2.0 GHZ.

Laptop overclocking is really not recomended. The heat generated is immense and my melt down your CPU.Laptops are very cramped.

i know. Its ran way above what its runing at 100% currently. (62 stock, replaced the compound with AS5 and it dropped to 32 at 100%.) Its Ran at 2.8 GHz before, but when I reset the OS it wiped the OC program and reverted to 2.0 GHz.
And I am not looking for much, just between 300 to 500 MHz. I really dont want to have to take it apart just to put in a new CPU assuming that I am not sure that I can find.
(Ebay only list 1 compatible Socket S1 processor and its 1.9 GHZ. so new Processor to achieve the same results isnt currently an option.)
