Laptop Power Icon

I sometimes can't see my power icon on my Dell laptop. I know that my power icon is located in my Power Options Properties and that the 'Always Show Icon On The Taskbar' box needs to checked, but even with the box checked it sometimes doesn't show up on my taskbar. So is there anyway I can keep my power icon on my taskbar all the time?

It sounds like it's being hidden due to inactivity, so it's still there, you just cant see it, to fix this right click on the task bar, click PROPERTIES, in the window that opens hit the CUSTOMIZE button in the bottom right.

Select the Power Options entry from the list and set its value to "Always Show"

Click OK, APPLY and close the windows. This eliminates the power icon from any inactivity timeout or hide features and SHOULD keep it visible

I have done that and it sometimes did show up, but I will try what you suggested. Thanks.
