Laptop problem...can anyone troubleshoot?

I have an HP G60 laptop using Windows vista. When I log onto the internet, sometimes navigation goes fine, but sometimes when I go to change pages, there is a delay (you can see the timer going and going) and it wont goto a new page. When this happens, I notice that the icon in the startup tray at the bottom left of the screen that has the two monitors and a disc in front of them (that shows you are connected) will lose the disc on the icon for several seconds. When the disc reappears, internet navigation will return as normal. This will happen several times over the course of the day. BTW I have a Linksys router and cable internet if that has any relevance. I attached a screen shot below to show you what it looks like. Any help would be appreciated.

That sounds like you are losing the connection to your router intermittently. Are you connecting to your wirelessly or via ethernet?

I went and checked my router. The cable coming out of the modem is connected to the "Internet" port on the back of the router. Just to play it safe, I hooked the ethernet cable to my laptop and then ran the installation disc again. The aforementioned problem with the interruption is happening when I am on the computer wirelessly. I rarely plug the ethernet to the laptop, so I dont know if the problem would happen when its plugged in.

You may just need to reboot your router from time to time. Try running the laptop hardwired for a while (with the WiFi off!) to see if the same problem shows up.
