Laptop problem

Ok so I got a question. Is Windows Vista supposed to take up half of you GPU memory? I got an NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 with 128 MB of memory and when I enable 128 MB windows crashes. My friend has a 512 card and it registers all of his RAM. Another one of my friends told me that he has a worse GPU and doesn't have this problem. So, is this normal to take up half of my GPU? seems kind of strange to me. Thanks.

ah, now that is a laptop, that video card is shared memory so yes it will take up your some of your RAM memory.

How much ram is in the laptop?

You may want to disable some of vista's features to save you ram like aero. It's pretty but worthless. The sidebar is also a huge waste if you still have that on.
