How much better is a P7450 than the T6600?

Or an i7-720QM Processor (1.6GHz, 6MB L2 Cache, 1333MHz FSB)

How much better is the i7?

The i7-720QM Processor is the best notebook processor out of them all. How much better exactly clock for clock I don't know.

It depends on what you want to do, out of the C2D chips the P7450 is better because it's lower voltage, more cache and faster FSB. The i7 is better if you plan on using programs that have more than 2 threads, the i7 would be a bit slower per core but over all faster, because of the additional cores. The C2D chips both use less power however, so they'd likely have better battery life.

Btw Intel abandoned FSB with Nehalem in favour of QPI and DMI. You cant even really compare them.

Just regular programs. Internet explorer, aim, some multimedia, etc...

I7 has awesome reviews so I figured that would be the best

.

Wrong

The i7 720QM outperforms P7450 in both single-threaded and multi-threaded applications. You have to check some reviews

The turbo mode in 720QM allow it to get up to 2.8GHz when only 1 core is used, and up to 2.66GHz when two cores are used
