Hi i have a HP DV5220US. it has the Intel Core Duo Processor at 1.6 GHz, 2MB L2 Cache with 533 MHz FSB. It also has 1 GB of RAM and 120 GB hard drive. The RAM is DDR2 667 with 2x DIMM. Basically I would like to know what type of RAM I should buy because all of my sources say that the laptop is upgradeable to 2 GB of RAM. I just don't want to buy something that is incompatible with my laptop. Also if anyone would happen to know if I should buy 1 GB of RAM or less depending on how many slots my current RAM takes up. Any suggestions would be awesome.

Man that sucks but my real question is what type of RAM should i buy because there is all this business with DIMM and the number of pins. i mean i understand that mainly it should be DDR2 667. am i missing anything else?

You can always buy regular RAM and cut it in half. That way you get twice the bang for the buck. lol :D

Oh man, I'm going to get in trouble. :P

I went to HP's website and they weren't very helpful, except for the fact that they don't mention that it's onboard. One of two scenarios is possible. The first being that it is a 1GB stick, which wouldn't surprise me. That would leave the one slot free to take it to 2 GB. The other is as The Other One mentioned, that being 2x512. I guess you won't know until you take the cover off.
