Ok, so i play games online using Ventrillo to talk to other gamers but everyone seems to have problems hearing me and say i cut in and out when i talk. I am thinking it has something to do with my soundcard so any suggestions as to what to do about this... i can link you my current soundcard if that will help. and by the way i have gone through 3 mics and finally bought one for like 60$ at office max so i dont think it is a mic problem unless i am very unlucky.

hmmm, a link would be nice. my guess is most laptops have integrated sound cards. if thats so in your case, that would mean to fix it, you would need to replace the whole motherboard, and that could get messy. have you dropped your laptop, or perhaps smacked the mic cord when it was connected, because that could have damaged the connection. on the other hand, it could be software related. do you have it on push to talk or voice activated? (ive never used ventrillo, but i assume xfire is similar). either way, check the sensitivity, it could be that. also, what is your internet speed? if its too slow, it might be the problem.
