Laptop space problem

Hi guys

I have a bit of problem with my laptop, it seems to be eating space like there's no tomorrow.

I've done a virus scan and nothing has appeared. I've also un-ticked the 'show hidden files' option in the tools box but nothing seems out of the ordinary. I've also defragmented, checked the disk, done a clear disk.

I'm using Windows Vista (32 bit operating system) so it's quite old and not all that good anyway. I don't have any music or pictures on my laptop! And not an awful lot of programs either. I have a total of 54.4 GB with only 8.8 GB left!

Does anyone know any files i can delete that will clear up a lot of space or any other methods?

Much appreciated! :D

You need to find out what is eating your memory. Please download and run rkill in Safe Mode. Then scan your computer in using Malwarebytes Antimalware. Remove everything it finds.

Then boot back into normal mode, and go to Control Panel-->Add/Remove Programs and uninstall anything you are not using. Download CCleaner and run the clean up tool and the registry tool repeatedly until no more issues are found.

Then download and run HijackThis! in normal mode and post your log back here, along with what your disk usage is after running the above programs. :D :good:
