laptop suggestions

I am looking for a laptop. I will be using it to play counter strike, and for streaming movies, tv shows, and the occasional dvd. My budget is about 1k. For screen sizes anything smaller that a 14'' I would like to get either a tv, or monitor to hook up to it at home. Anything bigger wouldnt need a monitor. Good sound quality would be nice as I do play some music on it sometimes as well. I would like to stick with PC for now since apples are still a bit out of price range. I dont really use up alot of HD space only using about 60 on my current laptop.
Will counter strike work with windows 7? I have read some conflicting results and would like to try and find a definite answer.

I am not sure if you could find laptop with good quality speaker. But you could always hook it with a small speaker like xmini II.
