Okay I better ask you guys before I blow my laptop away.
My laptop USB has had no problems till the other week where I plugged in my USB mouse and it gave me the "One of the USB devices on this computer has malfunctioned...blah blah" The mouse doesn't even light up now. Now I try plugging in anything and gives me the same thing. I tried deleting drivers from device mananger but to no success. When I try to re-plug in the mouse it flashes for a second, then turns off. Its almost like its not getting enough power. All three USB port is doing the same thing, except one which lets me plug in my mouse, but anything else like a external HDD(powered), it gives me the "malfunctioned" error.
Deep down I know its most likely a hardware issue, but its out of warranty now, I want to try and avoid having to buy hardware components for it so I'm willing to rebuild the OS in case its a Windows issue. Any thoughts before I blow the OS away?
