I want to upgrade my laptops video card. I am able and willing to do all the soldering and installation, but I don't know where to buy them. Where can I buy laptop video cards?
 
Sorry, you won't be able to upgrade it. If you do change it out, all you can do is replace it with the same thing. Even with PCI-E cards, normal judgement would say it can be interchangeable, but no- sockets are different and may won't even fit properly into the chassis. With the damage that you'll do, wasted time and money, you might as well buy a new one. Or at least a barebone and swap out the components from your old one.
 
Maybe with some god-like soldering skills, a hardware engineer, some wireing scematics to the laptop, and some sort of card capable of even fitting in your laptop, you might have a chance of ruining your laptop......eh, yeah.....O.o
 
hmmm...you will require good soldering skills...and it is actually possible, we have done it for customers in the past
but they brought in their own chip for the mod (one was taken off a dead mobo) and it worked just fine...granted you'll need to find new drivers and such
