Laptop vs Desktop

I was speaking with my friend and family on what should get; a Desktop or a Laptop. Friend tell me a Desktop but family says a Laptop.

What I wanted to do was to have a gaming desktop (Easily upgradeable) but I buy a 300-500 Laptop to do my work after high school for when I go to college.

But tell me what you guys think, I dont know what to choose. Thanks again!

How long till your done HS...one year or more?

I would personally say build a desktop..and dont get a laptop unless you need one now!

Wait till you go to college--even if thats 1 year away, assuming you might be a senior..and by then you can get a current laptop-.
 
Yeh I would..

By the end of next summer when your ready to go to school--a 300-500 next year is gonna be better than a 300-500 now....

just wait and see if you dont need it for HS....take advantage of 'back to school' deals in 09'
 
yeah desktop is a must for gaming
but laptop is good for students

spend your money on the desktop atm, laptops for general student work dont need to cost a fortune
