Laptop w/ windows 98, help?

I want to wipe everything of my laptop but it will take ages to delete everything. It is windows 98, does anyone know how to reset it to factory settings or just wipe everything?

Format it.

Formatting doesn't take too long. In fact formatting takes only about 10 seconds. It takes more to do a scan disk, which is done in a normal format. In a quick format it only formats the disk, without scanning the disk and that's why it's quick.
