laptop will not turn on!!! I REALLY NEED HELP!

I have a toshiba satellite a75 and the other day i was on it and it automatically shut down on me. ever since then it will not turn on. i took the battery out and unpluged it, then i reconnected the battery but it was still blank i repeated this multiple times then the bat light turned on but the screen was still black and the power button was still off and nothing turned on except for the light. i did it a couple of more times and twice i got my laptop to load up but it told me that there was an error and asked me how i wanted to start up my computer the first time i chose normal and it went to windows loading then shut off again the second time i went to safe mode and it did the same thing i can no longer get to that screen. my computer remains off. CAN ANYONE HELP MY OR GIVE ME SOME SUGGESTIONS.

before it automatically shutdown, did you get a BSOD? (blue screen with a bunch of stuff)..

no i was chating to a friend on myspace and it blinked black then just shut off

Did the laptop shut off or the screen? Do you get any noises when you try to start it up?

sometimes the fan turns on some time nothing at all happens

Do you have on of the sunction (FN) buttons on your lappy?

Try hooking it up to another screen...

That sounds like the tragic end to your motherboard, bc you didnt get a bsod. My sister had a similiar problem a few months ago, and it did turn out to be the motherboard in her Compaq.

Call Toshiba. It's really not worth it to start screwing around inside a laptop. They know it best.

It's definitely the motherboard.

Same thing happened to me lappy, except that it was due to a bad bios flash and not due to aging.
