laptop windows restart before loading

hey guys

I have a laptop here, OS win xp. after showing the winxp logo , the page flashes and restarts the laptop.

It hasn't floppy drive.
I was wondering I could run combofix on it. I guess it must run in dos environment.

I've been searching for a while to create a dos bootable cd. I loaded up ms dos 6.22 . but it detects no hard drive. I guess it is because of the fat32 or ntfs.

how to make a startup disk that allow me run combofix there?

Any idea ?

(Nothing works! I tried all the options : safe mode ... safe mode with networking .... NOTHING . all restarts the laptop : infinite loop!)

Anyway how to restore it ? the data in laptop is kinda important. What if I reinstall windows on the previous version? any hint guys?
 
You won't be able to run ComboFix like that. Why do you suspect that this is a security problem? If it is a corrupt installation, a repair reinstall of Windows should fix the problem.
 
he said he was listening to a music. then it hung. he had to hold down power button to shut it off. then it was like this.

You are right. It is just corruption. I just install a windows over it ? ( Like boot from windows CD, and just install? )
