Laptop wireless network card?

I'm starting to get annoyed with my current wifi signal. No matter where I put my laptop it get a poor to fair signal and cuts in and out. The router is fine, my friend's don't have any problem connecting to it.

I can guess that I'm no more then 90ft from it at all times when I'm inside... It also ranging from 2-4 walls between me and it.

I figure I should ask here and see if I can get any card recommendations while I look around.

I know you said its more your laptop rather than your router but I would get your self a high gain antenna, they cost next to nothing and will boost the signal strength massively. Or you could buy a PCMCIA wifi card and just use that...?
