So I have a Dell Inspiron 1505 its prob 4 years old and just recently it started to not be able to connect to my wireless network, it will locate it and recognize its there but wont connect. I know my wireless connection is good because all the rest of the computers in the house connect no problem, I tried resetting network adapter and all sorts of stuff but nothing. Rebooting computer multiple times (which usually works) but after multiple tries it will not connect at all. Is it possible the card is no good anymore??

I'm not familiar with your laptop but most have a setting to toggle the wireless off and on.
On mine it is Function plus another key. With it off I still can see my router but not communicate.

Wireless is on i checked that as well I played with all the settings and everything I could think of

Try updating the wireless driver. Also try uninstalling the wireless software, reboot and then reinstall the wireless software. Lastly, you may need to disable wireless security on the router until you can get it to connect and then reenable security.

Try unisntalling the wireless router driver and use windows own driver, if still problem is not fixed, install the latest driver from del website. Hope it helps.

If you can see the signal showing in the "open network and sharing center" detected by the wireless card , the hardware seems fine.
