Ok, so your assuming its a heat related problem? Why are you sourcing a new fan? Does the screen flash blue for a split second and then reboot when it is booting up or is it just all black?
Can we have some specs of your laptop or a make and model?

its a fujitsu siemes amilo pro v2030.

everytime i switch the laptop on, a loud noise comes from the fan and then it appears to completely stop. the computer then starts up and gets to the login screen and then restarts automaticaly sometimes i get a few seconds to log on others i dont even.
