I have a large file (PC game) downloaded to one of my computers it has two shortcuts (64 bit version and 32 bit version) each of which is about 665KB. I also have a folder of files for the game (about 7.8G!!!) how can I get the game from one of my computers to the other? I tried writing the shortcut icon for the game to a disc but when I put it in the other drive it said something about shortcut origin not found.

What can I do?

I'm not a genius with computers so simple or detailed instructions would be helpful.

You need the entire program file - not just the shortcut. Just install the game to the other computer.

Yeah, you will need storage space larger than 7.8gb. so you could use two dvd's or an external hard/flash drive.

Thanks a lot guys I moved all the files except one. Most of the files were small or folders with small files which I could extract individually but I have one file that is 1.5G its a .pak file not a folder. Because it is so big I can't fit it on my usb drive. I tried compressing with winrar but it barely reduced it is there a way to compress this file or maybe break it up and upload it in sections please help!

I still don't see why you don't just install the game to the other PC rather than wasting your time doing this.

There's also this thing called networking that allows you to transfer files between other computers. :)
