Large Home Network

Four other friends and myself are living in a house next year. We're all students so we have computers/laptops and xbox 360s. Since there are five of us, we're going to need more than a regular 4-port router can provide. At last count, we have five laptops, one computer and four xbox 360s, which makes 10 items that could potentially need internet access. We're getting a very good connection so speed won't really be a problem, but we want the luxury of being able to connect all of our systems (meanings laptops and video games) at once.

So basically, we want a wireless network for our laptops and wired for our video games. I was thinking about getting three wireless routers, hooking them up together and then just connecting everything to that but it seems unnecessary. I'm thinking there is an easier and maybe cheaper way to get this done so I'm open to suggestions.

What is the best way to do this home network so that we can connect up to 10 devices?

1 wireless router and 8-12 port switch will do the trick.

Thanks for the quick reply. A regular wireless router can only support four wireless signals, correct? I need at least five wireless signals... sorry if I didn't make that part clear.

But just in case, where can I get an 8-port switch for a decent price. I usually only see 4-port switches in stores.

as far as wireless you have nothing to worry about, any router will be able to handle 5 wireless clients.
8 port gigabit switch I'm using one right now, seems to be working pretty good. of course if you don't need gigabit then you can buy 100Mb switch
