Last Known Good Configuration Question for Windows XP

I have a question about Last Known Good Configuration.

For example if I were to start Windows XP in Safe Mode and then attempt to use Last Known Good Configuration would Windows XP start up revert back to Last Known Good Configuration settings of the previous start up before Safe Mode? Does starting into Safe Mode change the Last Known Good Configuration?

No it should not change anything. Last known good should be when the last time it was booted up in regular mode and worked.
