Already have a hard drive sorted out! Do give some constructive criticism if you like! I quite like the build, it'll be nice little venture to start off once again.

I'm going for the X1800XT because they aren't overly expensive, and the 256MB version performs just as well as the 512MB version at resolutions of 1600x1200 and under, and I'll be performing at that resolution and at 1028x1024 for some, high-demanding games!

I will be doing a fair bit of overclocking, mainly with the graphics to start off as the processor does give a good kick so far.

Are they any aftermarket Conroe coolers? As we all know, stock is not cool.

Caution: Lately on a few threads here some are reporting problems with OCZ memory. Sorry if I just happen to be an AMD fan while favoring Asus boards and Antec case+supply works here. ATI fan! But you left out hard drive(s) information there.

Will be holding a 74.3GB Raptor (SATA). Really, OCZ problems? Perhaps I should look at some Corsair then.. Thanks! Edit// How well do Corsair overclock? I won't be doing much, but may end up doing a fair bit once the spec dies down a bit!

When I ran Corsair xms series dimms here I ran pretty much stock since the cpu had a locked multiplier on the old board there. I currently am running a pair of Kingston Value Ram 1gb dimms at stock at the moment. When I get situated with an FX60 instead of the 3500+ then I can try a few things there.

Corsair and Crucial as well as Kingston have always had good reviews. Some are pointing at G.Skill and Patriot for OCing however. Maybe those with OCZ problems cooked the memory when rushing to oc them? OCZ was always the premium brand there.

At a show I picked up the pair of Kingstons for about $110 and that has proven to be a worthwhile investment for running a system at stock. I end up with far fewer problems when finding what works best for a lower cost.
