I've got 2 LCD monitors, a 17" Balance, and a 19" samsung. Both have been tested on multiple computers. When you first turn them on they work perfect for about 5 seconds, before they appear to turn off. However when you look very close you can see they are still on, just very very dark, like the backlight is burned out, yet it cant be, because they work fine for about 5 seconds??? Its got me, any :confused help?

Yes, this is correct, there's nothing burned out, it's just each pixel is "shut off" (black) but contrast ratio is nothing special because the backlight is always on at the brightness you see for max white.

If you boot the PC in VGA mode, do they work then ?
I'm guessing maybe the refresh rate or resolution is too high.

Both do the same thing on all systems. I have been reading up, and I think it may be bad inverters, I also contacted a LCD repair company, and they said I need new Inverters also. So I tore them apart, and the Balance Inverter has a burn mark, but the samsung seems fine. Anyone go any coments on this?
