LCD making high pitch noise?

Its been making a high pitch noise for about a week. It only makes it when stuff is on the screen. If the screen is blank then it does not make the sound.
This morning i went to turn on my computer, it was just showing the screen for 1 sec faintly then turning off. I had to turn the computer off, then turn the lcd on before i turn my computer on or it would not display any thing.

I have never opened up a lcd. Its just a mainboard and glass right? Is their any thing i should know before i do it? If you have any idea what this could be please tell me.
 
What brand and model is it? Is it still under warranty? I would get it replaced. sounds like It's on its last legs.
 
this display sounds like it's going to die soon, I'd check the warranty or start looking around for a replacement monitor
