LCD or LED???

Hi everyone!
My next question is probably something than many people a wandering about at the moment. What is better to buy as a new monitor? I have up to 150pounds to spend for my new screen and now there is the question, what to go for?
U can buy LCD or LED for a similar price, nice 19inch wide screen with similar parameters and people say that both kind of display are good, which one would you choose?
 
I believe that both what you are talking about are LCD displays, the difference is the backlight. One backlit by LED's and the other backlit by flourescent tubes.

The LED's supposedly give a better picture with truer colours, can look more sleek because the case can be thinner and they use less power.

I would choose the LED if priced very similar but probably wouldn't notice any difference anyway.

I would also add that LED is better for the environment because it does not use mecury and it may even last longer since LED's are solid state and is much harder to break (Floresent can break, or die later on.)
