LCD question

My old CRT monitor from 96 just died today so I'm on the prowl for a new LCD monitor. I've noticed that some have built in speakers. Do any have built in speakers along with a headphone jack? I'm looking for a 19", non-widescreen monitor mostly for multimedia apps and some gaming...

Most of the built in speakers are junk...I wouldn't rely on them as your primary speakers.

I'm sure a few LCD's have built in speakers with a headphone jack, but you'd be MUCH better off to get a set of 2.1(or even 2.0 ) speakers with a headphone jack. The speakers in my LCD are much, MUCH worse than any laptop speakers I've heard.

A few Dell LCD's had optional speakers you could mount on the bottom of the screen. I think they came with a headphone jack, but I don't remember them sounding anywhere near as good as their typical base speakers.

you dont want in-board speakers, because they are crap, (subject to opinion)

92% of 64 people gave it 5 stars. And these guys actually bought the monitor. Though if you look it's not widescreen and it apparently has a glossy finish that can get annoying if you stare at it too much. It's pretty fast though.
