My question is about native LCD resolutions. It's my understanding that if you run an LCD monitor outside of it's native or recommended resolution the picture will look terrible. So say for example I am running an LCD at it's recommended resolution of 1920 x 1200. Will most games and applications in Vista support that resolution? I haven't been able to play the new games for about a year or two because my current PC is a dinosaur and I am not familiar with what games are running or even have as options. I know that PC gamer runs their benchmarks at 1600 x 1200, but that is well below the high end LCD's recommended resolutions. So I'm kind of out of the loop. For reference I'm looking at a 512mb 8800 series video card and a 1080p LCD.
