What is a good LCD screen for around 200-300? i currently have a old CRT, btw how do i measure the size of mine, from left to right or diagonally?

And I'm very pleased with it so far! As for the size, it's diagonally. Look around on the monitor, it usally has the size printed on it somewhere, or the model hints at it. Like Something400 would probably be a 14", Something700 probably a 17"... Not to say they always work like this

There are a few good deals on www.brokenprices.com the Hyundai monitor gets a lot of good reviews for performance but its 330.00 which is a little above your price range.
