Ok, I have a problem.

I am working on my A+ and other certifications and I need to be able to put my textbook knowledge on networking and servers into practice. I don't have $1,400.00 or whatever to purchase Server 2003/08 software...neither do I have the money for a qualified server machine. I have a desktop and a laptop...and an old P3 Dell. Can you purchase Server for a cheaper price for educational use, or am I stuck working with OpenSUSE and Fedora...

here is the hardware requirements for server 2003

Almost all of MS products have a downloadable full version that lasts for 180 days, like server 2003..if they are still marketing that.

there are also virtual machines you can run on a better pc like the one in your sig.
