Left or Right Handed Cases?

I don't know how else to describe it. Some cases open from one side or the other depending on how the motherboard mounts. Therefore, if you want a case with a window panel in one side or the other how do you tell what to buy? For example if I wanted to build my own PC and pretend you are looking at the front, the side to the left is against the wall where I have it sitting on my corner desk. Most cases I've seen have the window panel on that particular side so that would be what I am looking for! What if I wanted a case/motherboard that opens on the other side that is not against the wall?

and i thought i was the only one. LOL its not something you usually see, but i hope you find one, if you cant, mod it, its not TOO hard to switch it all around and add a window

I've seen a couple of computer that open from the opposite side... that would have the motherboard "upside down" with the expansion cards on the top instead of the bottom, but never any cases that look any good.

Yeah it's weird because for example the Dell XPS and Gateway FX530 cases open on the other side and their card slots are still at the bottom. Maybe its an ATX/BTX thing?

that would be my gues. iirc BTX cases have the motherboard mounted on the left side of the case (when looking from the fron of the case) whil's ATX has it on the right side (BTS also has the PSU in the bottom of the case iirc.) never owned a BTX case, so I'm not sure, and dont have the time to look it up myself atm :x

I like the Cooler Master Centurion 541, it turns an ATX upside down and you mount it on the left side, therefore your graphics cards look better through a panel. I just like having the onboard connectors lower, they have more stress on them, so being lower they can rest the cables on the floor or desk:D
