So the lenovo 3000 n100 is an amazing machine. Best value for your dollar. Here is my contraversy.

I want to be able to run vista in the future. So far, Microsoft claims that Aero will require a graphics card. In order to get a seperate graphics card on the Lenovo, you have to go to the 15.4" screen. Anyone have advice?

15.4
____

Pros:
Better screen
Better graphics
More power

Cons:
Less battery because of bigger screen
Less battery because of graphics card
More money
Bigger
Heavier

How much battery do I really lose with the external graphics card? How much battery do I really lose by getting a bigger screen? Does anyone think the 14.1 with integrated graphics can handle Vista and Aero? Can the graphics card's power be lowered to help battery life? Anyone have any advice one way or the other? I am going to be carrying this thing to class. I dont plan on doing anything graphically intense with the exception of Windows Vista probably.

Thanks guys!

You're right about the Lenovo 3000 N100 being an amazing machine and the best value for your dollar. Mine I got a couple weeks ago has XP Pro and is Vista-ready. It's the 14.1" screen size.
In terms of battery life in relation to screen size, you probably won't see much difference between the 14 and 15. Company information says the batt life is 2-3 hours but I've read personal reviews that state its upwards of 5 or 6.
The "upgrade" (if you can call it that) from the 14.1 to the 15.4 will be about $100. I can't comment on performance comparison between the two because I've only used and owned the 14. It actually looks bigger than it sounds. The weight difference won't be too noticable in my opinion.
