lenovo laptop lockout by one raunchy update ending with the BSOD

Yup, that pretty much sums it up. Tonight, Lenovo told me I had an update available, so I updated it. Then I got the big bad BSOD stop code telling me that I had an inaccessible boot device. I tried several different advanced options, of which exactly none of them worked, so all I wanted to do was just get into command prompt and uninstall the darn update. I'm assuming the update is 5.07.0127.exe, but I'm not entirely sure.

Well, after an exhaustive search online, I still do not know how to do what I thought would be a simple task. That brings me here, 'cause you guys have all the answers for anything computer related, and a some other things as well. Can anyone help me out? I'd appreciate it greatly.

Not knowing what update you are talking about, but inaccessible boot device means either corrupt boot files or failing hard drive. If you can't get into the advanced recovery options to do a system restore, your only options are to verify the drive is still healthy and reinstall windows.
