Hi,
Ok the problem is: My laptop is acer aspire V3-571G, and it's supposed to have 6 GB ram. Now when i check it with my computer or ccleaner, it says laptop has 6 gb RAM, BUT I accidentally checked it with canyourunit.com (web to check if you can play a certain game) and this web says I have only 2.4 GB RAM.
Now how do I find out the truth?

P.s. As you might have understood I'm not a very computer guy, so excuse me if I don't understand something very simple, and Thanks for your help!

Please download and install PC Wizard from my signature. Install it and run it. Go to FILE, SAVE AS and click OK. Copy the text out of that file into this thread. This will tell us what we need to know.

There is no point in downloading anything.

Open your start menu, right click computer and click properties. It will say in there under Installed memory (RAM) how much RAM you have.

Alternatively, right click the clock in the bottom right hand corner of your screen and click task manager. Go to the performance tab and it will say in the bottom left hand corner how much memory you have in MB.

No downloads needed

It sounds like the website wasn't polling correctly for whatever reason.
Even Task Manager can show you your physical RAM amount (CTRL+ALT+ESC).

If you wanted some additional verification, CPU-Z can show you each stick's information for speed/model/timing/etc.

Ok,
so I did both things, checked at task manager and with cpu-z. Boht gave different results! task manager shows only 2 gb, cpu-z shows 6 gb ram. totally confused.. which one tells the truth?

Edit: i checked further down in task manager, it says there are 6144 installed, but only 2388 in total "category". Does it mean i have to somehow activate another 4 gb ram or something?
