OK, so here is my problem. I work in a retail store and we have a Lexmark T630. It's a monochrome laser printer. The printer probably prints about 100 pages a day. Not an overwhelming amount but here is the problem. Each "print job" throughout the day is a 2 page job. After page 1 prints, the LCD displays waiting and we have to hit 'GO' for it to print. This happens EVERY time without a hitch.
Here is a scenario and 'schedule' of what happens [assuming that we do not push 'GO':
Print job 1:
- Page 1 prints
-WAITING
Print job 2 (initiated):
-Page 2 from Print job 1 prints
-WAITING is displayed
Print job 3 (initiated):
-Page 2 from Print job 2 prints
-WAITING is displayed
This cycle continues indefiniitely if GO is not pressed. At the end of the night we have multiple reports that we need to print and this problem does occur; however, I have been unable to figure out a pattern such as the one mentioned above. Basically, we press 'GO' atleast 20 times throughout the day which as I'm sure you all can understand is VERY inconvenient.
Here is where the trick comes. Our computer is windows based but never turns off and is always in a DOS based accounting support program. On top of that, we do not have the administrative rights to alter driver settings or anything like that. There is a link at the bottom that I have included to what I was able to find on Lexmark's site. If anyone could offer any insight in this matter it would be greatly appreciated
Thanks!
