OK, I just reinstalled my OS. I installed XP Pro. I had to reinstall due to a nasty virus. As I was reinstalling I came across the normal option to format a drive at the (BLUE SCREEN). Well I left my usb drive (1 GIG)pluged in to my computer and didn't remember to remove it. Well, at the blue screen I saw a fat32 partition at about 900megs. At the time I was not thinking about the USB drive being pluged in so I selected that drive (which I believe was the USB drive) and chose the option to remove partition thinking it was a partition on this used laptop computer I bought recently that I didnt see on the last fresh install I did of the OS so I figured I'd remove it. I can put the drive in now and the computer see's it and will ask me to format it. I dont want to format it cause I have some impotrant information I stored on it for the fresh OS install....lol...But I tried to format it anyways just to see if it would and it will not even format it. I can't see any of the data on it. I can see the drive in windows explorer as ( Removable Disk)but when clicked on it asks to format it. Any help on this one? If not can you send me in the right direction?
I just called LG and a man told me he has never heard of that problem before. I asked him if there was a solution and he said no to take it back to Sam's Wherehouse. I said what if I didn't buy it from there? He responded with "Thats the only place that sells them"... lol... OK,Sure... So I looked online and sure enough you can buy them online. But I think I knew that. He obviously didn't know Jack and was going to get his pay check no matter how he helped...
