Lga 775 + MOBO good?

I was browsing through Newegg's motherboards and I chose LGA 775.

But then looking on I saw that they had Intel Core 2 Duo/ Extreme and some other 5 categories some repeating.

Can a MOBO run an Intel Core 2 Duo as long as it is LGA 775

I was wondering if this is a good MOBO after all I decided that I was not going to run in SLI so is this a good MOBO? Gigabyte GA-965p...

no because there are mobo that are 775 but doesnt take ddr2 so u have to look around for compatible boards.
 
Not all LGA775 motherboards handle C2D as some has max FSB of 800mhz and cannot handle the new low voltages of C2D.

As for that motherboard, yes it's pretty good.

Awsome then... Im set with my Motherboard and the RAM. Now if someone comes with an answer to my Harddrive question :P Then ill just have to wait for the eVGA to come to stock and buy CPU.......but you guys didnt need to know that :D
