LimeWire Help?

Hey,

I tried searching for this problem on the forums but didn't come up with an answer. Sorry if it's been posted and I missed it.

Well, there's been this weird issue recently. For some reason, when I start up LimeWire, it practically freezes my computer to the point where every process is painfully slow (e.g. opening a browser, program, etc.). I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and it hasn't worked. I tried turning off my firewall and Bit Torrent (thought maybe since they both use Java there was an issue), but that still did nothing. And I got nothing from Google. :( It wasn't like this before, so I'm wondering if this has come up before and/or if anyone's had experience. I'd appreciate any help on the matter.

Can anyone help me out?

Whats the spec of your computer?
Athlon XP 2500+
40GB HD
120GB HD
1GB RAM
Windows XP SP2

Don't think that anything else matters, does it? But I doubt that hardware is the problem here, since everything else other than LimeWire works just fine.

do you update limewire when there is a newer version?
Yes. Currently, I'm using the newest version, and am experiencing the same problem.
