Limewire using all of CPU

Limewire is using like 97% of my CPU, it makes it sooooo slow :( any id how thats possible? It did it before, but I reformated since, and its still doing it...
 
personally i hate limewire, too many viruses, and slow downloading. But if you have a lower cpu speed 97% sounds right. How much ram are you using aswell?
 
CPU: 2.4 Ghz, RAM: 768 MB, I dont think thats the problem....and its weird, I noticed it takes 97% sometimes and other times it runs normal :S
 
That might depend on if your downloading or not, and sometimes if someone is uploading from your computer that happens quite a lot Limewire is a CPU hog though it's been a well known fact (or is should be)
