Is there a way in Windows XP HE to limit what websites someone can access. I have an account set up for a child and only want them to be able to go to certain sites. Is there anyways I can specify which sites are allowed and restrict all other sites?

Thanks!!

If you have firefox, you can easily block certain sites with the plug-in FoxFilter.

There are also other methods available if you are using Internet Explorer, but depending on the version, Firefox may be more suited if it's a child's computer.

You can also go through the router also.

As far as I know, there isn't a very easy way to only allow access to certain websites. But there are a few ways to deny access to websites you don't wish to be browsed, one way is to use the Windows hosts file. You can read more about that from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_file

One solution would be to purchase a hardware firewall, you can get one for $50. All decent firewalls have many website filtering settings, including a feature that allows you to specify a list of websites that can be accessed and the firewall automatically blocks all access to other sites.

Or, you could just buy some commercial website filtering software, such as NetNanny.
