Limited internet access on this wifi

I'm currently connected to the school wifi.

I noticed that only ONE program has problems with being granted full internet access.

The program is called kakaotalk and it's an instant messaging software.
I have full internet access everywhere else.
I can browse the internet perfectly well..
I can also LOG IN to my account for that program, which makes me believe that it has some kind of internet access.
The problem occurs when I try to actually message someone.
It doesn't load any of the past messages and is unable to send new ones.
However, all my friends use this same software fine with no problems on their laptops (on this campus wifi).
I also have no problems using it with other wifi connections outside my home, even in other schools.

I've also tried the whole "allow program through windows firewall". It's already granted access in both private and public networks.

What might the problem be?

Are you on the same campus wireless SSID? Since it works on other WiFi networks, it sounds like your computer is fine but it's being blocked by the network. I'm wondering if perhaps you are on a different campus network that may be blocking it.
