Hey guys,
Before I describe my question, you can examine my setup below in my signature.
Now... is it normal for everyone that in MMORPG games, FPS will always spike here and there whenever you're entering new regions or having 50+ users in your screen?
I play this game called Aion, with everything maxed out (and with the High Quality Engine they recently added which converts pretty much all visible objects in the game, into Higher Details), I do get 60FPS easy when I'm playing most of the time.
However, I still feel spikes of lag in FPS whenever a new user appears or enter a new region in the game. What bothers me is that it feels like there is almost no difference as if I'm using a HD 6950 (used to use that one back in March). Further, I get around 30 to 50 FPS when I'm in town when there are lots of activity going on amongst users. Sometimes, I get like 19 FPS...
To compare, I do not get this kind of spike when I play Borderlands 2, Diablo3 (maybe when I'm blowing up like 200 monsters at once).
Is this a limitation to all GPUs out there that cannot be avoided even if I went 2x 690s?
Thanks in advance,
