Linksys Router WRT110 Not Connecting Via WiFi?

Okay, I bought a router as my old netgear stopped working, and I cant connect via wifi. I know the Router is working, as my Laptop has a ethernet cable connected directly to the router. But, I can CONNECT via wifi, but my PC wont go to a webpage. My computer detects the router, and connects, but does not succesfully go to a webpage, and I have completly reset it to factory 5 times, not joking.

Do you have any other pc's that are connected wifi and can browse? Are you sure you have entered the correct wireless security key?

Okay, My moms android can connect. My compaq can connect when connected through a cable, but cant test without a cable. My desktop which is upstairs and connected via wifi, it connects, but doesnt let you go to a webpage, I think it might be windows or my ralink5370.

Has it ever connected and able to surf? Did you just add the wireless card? You may be infected. Without knowing these answers won't know where to steer you.

Not infected. Deffinatly not infected, I just rebooted my PC and havent even used the net on it yet, but my wifi dongle did connect to my old router on windows 8 and my old windows 7 install.

Try connecting to the net again. This time, open a command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" without the quotes and do a screen shot of the results or list what it says for

1. ipaddress
2. default gateway
3. dns servers
4. dhcp server

I'm sorry if you already said this but have you tried using an ethernet cable to see it will get internet? If it connects with a cable but not wireless then I assume its the wireless card you have, possbily either the security or driver for it.

But according to that image, you should have internet.

Yes, it connects via ethernet. Cheese, why would the wifi card be doing that? I really dont have even $10 for a new one.

What type of security are you using? You may want to try using WEP or even unsecuring the router to see if its a security setting that the adapter doesn't like. What is the driver date for the device? Have you tried updating the driver?

Then I would say you have a bad wireless adapter. However, I would put the adapter in another system to test it. Only way to really diagnose an issue like this.

Thats why I said to try it in a different computer but use the same router. It may be a router/adapter compatibility issue.
